Join Troop 542 Scouts
Step 1 – Get to know Troop 542
Start Here: Troop 542 Fact Book – This should answer most of your questions on the basics of Troop 542.
If you would like to visit us in person to ask any follow-up questions, meet any of our Troop leadership, or just to see how our Troop operates, please use the “Contact Us” link to setup a visit.
Step 2 – Submit an application to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA)
An online application and medical form are required to become a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Follow these simple steps on the BeAScout.org web site:
- Use this special link to our Troop application page: BSA Application Form
- Click the “Apply Now” button
- Create a new account (or use a previous one if a current or former Scouter) on the My.Scouting website
- Follow the prompts through the application
- Pay the BSA National Fee via credit card at the end of the application process
- Fill out the BSA Medical Form – Parts A & B. These are needed before a new Scout can participate on weekend events. Part C will also be required to attend trips over 72 hours (such as Summer Camp).
Step 3 – Contact Troop 542 New Member Coordinator
